| Research Interests |
| Interests focus on the evolution of sexual and asexual reproduction in fungi. Includes investigation of the molecular and physiological basis of sexual morphogenesis and asexuality, utilising a range of genomic, molecular and classical genetic approaches. Primary study organisms are Aspergillus fumigatus, A. nidulans and A. niger. Particular interests in mating-type (MAT) genes and elements of the pheromone signalling pathway. Also interests in population biology and variation in Aspergillus species and lichen-forming fungi. |
