The /download/sequence/ directory contains sequences from the genome
sequencing projects for Aspergillus nidulans FGSC A4 and other related
strains and species:

current files are generated weekly and reflect the most current information
at AspGD. Whenever there has been a sequence or annotation change, a new
archive file is added. The version of the update is included in the filename.

For related strains and species, sequences are downloaded periodically
from the source databases. Check the "README" files in the respective
directories for the source database and most recent update.

All files are in FASTA format and are gzip compressed. There are several
freely available software options for decompressing gzipped files.  The
software and other useful information is available on these web sites:
